Forney roads

KAUFMAN - Weather permitting, all lanes of FM 460/Clements Drive will be closed at US 80 from 7 p.m. Friday, May 10 through 6 a.m. Monday, May 13 as part of the ongoing project.

Detours will be in place and traffic will need to plan extra travel time. Traffic will be shifted onto a portion of the newly constructed pavement at the completion of this closure.

This work is part of the ongoing $129 million construction project awarded to Webber, LLC. The project is anticipated for overall completion in spring 2026, weather permitting.

July 11, 2019 TxDOT held a public meeting regarding widening of FM 548 to 1641, and widening FM 1641 to US 80.

June 25, 2019 TxDOT public hearing for the widening of Hwy 80 would remove Big Town Blvd bridge, 2 restaurants, add frontage roads w/ shared access lanes and sidewalks.
