ARB considers downtown window/door swap
During its regular Feb. 20, 2020 meeting, the Forney HOZ Architecture Review Board met to consider a request to replace windows with a door on the back of a downtown business building.

- Approved a request for a certificate of appropriateness, in accordance with the Historic Overlay Zone district regulations, for changes to the property at 210 S. Bois D'Arc Street.
Mr. Morgan stated the request is for exterior changes to the structure, to renovate the structure for use as a mortgage office.
The proposed changes:- Remove the existing windows and siding below the windows on rear of building
- Add new wood framing to set storefront doors
- Add a new door
- Add sidelights on both sides of and above the new door
The request also includes new paint for the rear awning and siding.
HOZ requirements that the board determine if changes are detrimental.
Notice was published and mailed, no reponses were received.
There was no public input.
