Forney Parks Board Sep. 17 moves to add winter adult softball, and take action regarding Forney Soccer Assoc.

During its Sept. 17, 2014 meeting, which was packed almost to capacity, the Forney Park Board:

• Heard from Ms. Merchant about problems with the Forney Soccer Assocation, and from Mr. Rooney and other FSA board members who have attempted to resolve problems with the current FSA leadership and are now requesting assistance from the Park Board.
• Thanks to requests from the public, agreed to have adult softball winter season probably from Nov. to Feb. The board suggested the association adopt rules re: lightning.
• After lengthy discussion, moved to send registered mail to the Forney Soccer Association president regarding the FSA delinquincy in reporting registrations and schedules, and to inform NTSA of the situation.
• Ms. Tiesman briefed the board on the fall concert series.
